*Update 11/28/2014 - Currently the car is still running great. (3 or 4 years now about 6,000 miles on it since swap) No major issues since the swap. No leaks except a small coolant leak that was coming from a semi-tight hose clamp. Its a pleasure to drive. Im glad that I hung on to it all these years and didn't give up on the project. I haven't drove it much and haven't upgraded the turbo yet but hopefully soon.

does anyone know how to remove a power seat without power? is there a way? I can get by without removing it but it would be nice.

Hey, very nice car! I've always wanted to put a 5 cyl into a B4 chassis... some day I suppose!
I'll be watching this thread attentively! Keep the pictures coming.

well technically its not all black. the headliner is grey. RS2 has all black headliner though. maybe someday i will change it when i change the seats etc. just not a priority right now.

cool yea, i saw a few of your posts. do you have a thread on your project too? let me know if youre in town and you can check it out.

How stiff do you expect your suspension to be?

what do you mean? Ive driven it already with this set up. had it on for almost a year prior to it being parked. it rode nice. stiffer than many people like im sure but it was finally close to what i was aiming for. the urs4 bilsteins up front really made a difference. it was fairly stiff with the set up previous but i wanted to eliminate as much of the side to side body roll as i could without making it just ridiculously stiff.

previously i had front and rear stock sways. 2B coilovers using koni yellows and Eibach 350# at each corner. think they were 8" same length as im using now.

before that i had bilstein sports with h&r sport springs

this is from saturday. I took the hvac unit out right after this was taken. havent been able to work on it since.

pulled the fuse box and examined some of the wiring. am crossing my fingers that i start to recognize some of the wires on the car and the harness. Gonna search for a s2 harness diagram so i know what im looking at and get it hooked up right on the inside. :slap:

yep owned the car since early 2002 so a few more than 5 but ya. =)

Got stood up for a 2nd date with a hot blonde tonight so I did a little more work.

This weekend I pulled the 12v harness and installed the ABY harness. most of the plugs are connected where they should be in the cabin. Just gotta route the ecu clump over to where it should be then test it all.

yay for progress...
