Curious if anyone has some pics of their setup on rs2 elipsoids using either an hid kit or led headlight kit. Before I go in and start snipping wires I'd like to get a glimpse of what you used for yours.

Scoping out on retrofit source, but I've also used ddm in the past and had no issues.

I had HID's on my ellipsoids in the past, I never cut any wires just connected them to the normal loom and it worked fine.

When I redo the front of my CQ I'll be going LED on my H1/H1's (low side only). May go HID on the high side, because LED's suck in my H4 housings, they need the projector housing to properly focus the light. Should not need to cut/splice anything if you already are running halogen bulbs...

Awesome thanks. Did you end up using 35w or 55w set. I'm leaning towards 35 just to keep heat down, I know the 55 puts out much more heat in small housings.

Just now have to choose between the morimoto elites ($150) or the ddm plus ($60)

Thinking just go elites and not cheap out on safety measures..

My H4's I went cheap on the LED's, but I don't think expensive would matter, reflectors don't do well with LED's (they are bright A.F. though). The H1 ellipsoidal LED I was going to use isn't being carried any longer, so I'll have to research it again when the time comes. I hadn't done any research on the HID for the H1 reflector yet. I have to do a major overhaul of the front of the car, different radiator, fans, FEAD, etc so I can fit my old H1/H1's in and not have to modify them, among many things.

Go with 35w (so you don't over heat the bulbs or cook the wiring) and I think you want to use the headlight harness from a B490 or RS2 to get the proper relay? Pretty sure that's it.

Awesome, I was thinking the same. I have the rs2s in, just the halogens are horrible as far as visibility goes. I'll go with the morimoto 35w 5k and should be good to go.

Thanks guys
