Cool, btw- you wishing that bike had more power yet ;) (sorry couldn't resist the jab)
Would I enjoy a bike with more power? Yes.

Is this bike perfect at what it was purchased for? FUCK YES

Show me a faster or sexier bike that still gets 75mpg =)

My next bike
450cc of 80mpg (realistically about 45-50mpg) sportbike killing machine

I love my rmx 250, but the powervalve failures suck!

keep us posted on the plastidip.

Edit: by the way, your wheels are by far my favorite wheel honda has ever had. A few minutes with a sawzall and a dremel will clean up that tail nicely.

To each his own i guess. It's not that you cant have fun on a 250, its that its so much more fun with 4 times the power. (cbr 250 ~23-25 whp cbr 600~100-105whp)

It boggles my mind that for the same money you can have a more capable bike (ie 2002 cbr600 f4i), if you are really sold on the 250 idea, go spin around on a supermoto- much more fun. plus the resale on the 250's sucks.

Just don't be a squid, ride within your limits. 55mpg isn't so bad
Shiny side up boys! ;)

I liked the idea of $4900 for a brand new bike (after tax, and interest) and a 5 year warranty.

Plus the bike isn't the whole cost. I was quoted nearly $200 a month for insurance on a 600 and found a 2000 CBR 600 F4I for $4000. But my 250 cost $33 a month for full coverage and $97 a month for the bike. So bike an insurance are less then just insurance on a 600 lmao.

Plus if this thing was any heavier I would have already laid it down hitting a car at 30-40mph... I had a very close call from someone pulling into my lane but I was able to control the light ass bike lol.

As a beginner I would feel intimidated by a 600cc sportbike. Honda designed the 250 to be easy and fun to ride, and to inspire confidence. I figure I could ride the 250 for a year, if I still like riding and feel the need to step up, I will. The resale on the 250R is ridiculous right now, at least in my area- usually a 1 year old 250R is only about $500 less than a brand new one.
