first off the car is in Muskegon, MI not New Haven. I picked it up a couple of months ago not running on audifans. I put a dizzy in it now it runs. The body is in good shape, grey comfort interior is in good shape. The only issues are the boost only goes up to 1.4 unless your really lugging it. I replaced the bypass valve and the frequency valve, verified that the ECU is fine by using another. I am sure it is a simple fix but my brother has the car and just doesn't have the time to fix it for me. I was going to turn it into a track car or use the engine in my QSW (which I have sold) but I need to fix my jetta given the gas prices right now. So this has to go. I want 2995 for it. It has 238K miles on it and the compression was checked by the previous owner as good. I do not really care if you think the price is wrong so you can keep that to yourself and send me an offer if your interested. Has bose radio and built in cell phoneThanks David
PS willing to work trades for a poptop eurovan or vanagon or a travel trailer year does not matter but condition does.

Well if I don't get what I want for it, I will either have a lago blue track car or a shell and a 20VT something or other. I know the price is at the top end of the spectrum but I also know there were only 900 of these babies and somebody besides me has to like the type 44 and not the smaller audis. I would use it as a daily driver but I don't want to spend the money to fly out and get it. I hate putting miles on my avant. It is a beautiful car with minor problems that is all. I could just use money now rather then 5 cars, but I don't need the money that bad. My jetta will get fixed one way or the other.

If you yank the motor/harness/Ecu only, I'de consider the shell for a 4.2tt conversion. I just may have one stashed somewere :D

well with PKW I may work out a deal with you. If you hook me up with a coilover system for my wagon ;-) As far as too late, I know I bought it sight unseen and paid for it that day. I was hoping just for a usable engine but the whole car is nice so I lucked out.

Coilover system you say. I've got a 2Benn front & rear coilover system with Koni adjustables & the 2Benn Revolution camber/caster plates.
What kindda "deal"are you refering? Just curious.

Why was it not running? How are the CV's. Tire life? How does it shift especially first to second? Does E-brake work? Any lifter noise after cold start? How are shocks and bushings, and abnormal noise? Does Autocheck work correctly? Do you have any previous maintainence history? I'm close to Muskegon only 45 minutes away. :)

It needed a dizzy, brand new tires, I have never seen the car or driven it. I can give you my Brothers number and you can go see it which would probably be best. I do not have any history. He likes driving it, he says the only bushings that are worn are the rear diff bushings have a clunk. I will PM you my brothers number call him after 5.

Doubtful. Most likely the front trapazoidal arm bushings are shot. ~$28 for each bushing x the 4 required at Blau. A better bet would be to find a pair of bushings from a C5 chassis 100q or A6q, as there are much stronger and the 12v auto cars didnt have enough ass to hurt them....and yes, its a bolt on upgrade.
