Looks like 'em. The only thing I don't like about them is the flat steel mounting plates. Those are kind of flexible. I did a bunch of damage to the bottom of a car with those once but it had nuts that were welded to the subframe. The brackets flexed and broke the metal around the nuts. The way the Audis have through bolts (beefy ones too) should eliminate that problem.
It is a comp that you have to make, finding the right balance.

Ok Tonight I got the new alternater mounted, the new A/C clutch put on(had no belt my :tard: ass forgot to buy one), I got the Dizzy rotor in, the WG spring installed, and the ECU chipped. Tommorow is basically putting everything back together. Except one other thing that I am going to buy and that is the distributer cap itself. The rotor was the correct one except that it was the original one that came with the car back in 91.

Now for the pics of tonights adventure!

Hereis how it all started off.

And this is a pic of the chips that were pulled out.
They say Lehmann 200 20V Stage 1
One say top board and the other say Bottom board with a date that reads 2/26/03.
I don't know what this means? I was told the car was completely stock. It ran stock Boost pressure according to my gauge.

Uh you already had chips.................but since you were running stock boost levels I wonder what kind of cheeky chips those are(yeah I know they say Lehmann on them but who knows if they are really lehmann chips?only way to tell is if you vag-com the car and it should show up as what chip tuner they came from) So was the PT already a 2.5? I can't see how you would get stock boost with a stage 1 chip set??? :? I'd send them laymann chips to Ben and see if can read them and see what the deal is.

Wow nice work! Way to git'r done. I've never seen "real" moded chips with labels like that. Might be some e-bay specials. Chips with the stock transducer can't do a whole lot though and I'm assuming a stage I would be without the 2.5 pt.

FYI I put Gates belts on my car and it quieted down a lot and they fit real nice. If you have an O' Reily parts store they have them in stock.

Will do Austin. Never heard of Lehmann before last night. I actually broke one of them(accidentally dropped it) but I will sen both of them down there. Yes it already had the 250kPa PT. I don't get it either. My grandpa kept telling me I wasted my money, that the car was already chipped. I kept telling him that he was wrong that I couldn't be running stock boost of a aftermarket chip set.

Chad T- They probably are some Ebay specials. Also we don't have an O'Reilys'
here in AZ. So buying Gates brand would probably mean having to order them online. I can also see if any of the local parts stores have them in stock. If not, than I guess I am just buying the ones they do have cause I would like to take my car out for a test drive today! :drive: :drive: :drive:

Yeah you gotta use what you can get. Watch that PS belt. I got one on line that was too long to use. It's easy to get it too tight as well so be carefull. I found that out the hard way.

Now time for the test drive :drive:

Those Lehmann chips were real I see a hoppen sticker on the ECU
http://www.hoppenmotorsport.com/. Strapping the IC isn't really necessary but if you do do it use large metal hose clamps. Return that dizzy cap it's not right. Also what's that white stuff on the ECU connector? PS you're missing the ECU shower cap very important!!! I just used a ziplock bag and some duct tape to replace my torn stock one.

BTW if those chips were real than they really sucked! I forgot to mention, I took it for a test drive and the boost gauge doesn't go above 15- 18 PSI. I think I may have a boost leak. Also when I turned the motor on my battery light was on and my Anti lock light and the Brake light.

The cap is generic just order a real one online. I'll go take pic of the shower cap. Lights on I dunno everything connected right on the alt. and is the belt tight? Which antilock light the yellow anti-lock off that just means the abs is off and frankly :p I always turn it off. The red brake light is low fluid hyd./brake and or low pressure aka bad bomb or booster could also be the ps belt isn't tight enough. But you don't want that too tight cause it will ruin the front seal on the pump.

PS belt is tight, just checked it today while I was working on it. The belt is tight on aternator too. Everything is connected the same as before. I had no problems either. The car has a Brand New Optima Red Top in it.
