anybody??????
if I knew of anyone out here with a coupe or 5cyl 80/90 i'd just look at the wiring harness, but i'm on this mission solo unfortunately.....
besides of couse the helpful insight from motorgeek :)

got the wheels in the mail today......:woowoo:

all is good except for one that is getting the outer lip trued a bit but shouldn't be a big deal.......
they are off a benz thus the renntech stickers...
came with 15mm wheel spacers making them et 20, they might work but we'll see once its rollin, I like some euro, but if it rubs the spacers gotta go....i'll get some little 5 mm ones...

and then in the midst of my excitement, I remember I don't have any hubs yet :(

after getting the wheels I had some time in the garage so I did some test fitting and took some photos of some stuff.......
since I'm still awaiting some insight from someone with a coupe about the wiring :(
you guys gonna make me track down a coupe out here so I can answer my question???

got the ic on and all plumbed up...

nice and easy, just bolted it to the crossmember....good for me since i don't weld....

kinda sucks because I have no room to continue with the plan to run ac.....and I already put the dash back in, so i'll probably just leave the big box for now......
got the IIc box in the glove box,
had to cut the indention part out for the wires to feed through and around the airbox.

i'm glad I forked out the cash to buy a different ic rather than trying to use the gt2 one I have .......just looks pretty.....

and then had to cut the sides out a bit to clear the piping since the ic sits so far forward......

and thats it thusfar......
just got to wire up the IIc, and sort out the rest of the wiring in the coupe that I can't figure out, get some hubs, and iron out what else'll come up that I get snagged on........
 
first question,
I can not locate any possible clips used for the oil pressure and oil temp....
in this diagram it looks like there is a sub harness that connects to the main harness with these plugs,
is this what I am missing (which I really hope for ease sakes)


Yes, those are the oil pressure and temp

and if so,
is this the clip it clips to? (since I couldn't find what this clip could be after scouring the Bentley's wiring diagrams system by system, by system, by page by page by......... :drool:
labeled clip #3 in the diagram in green...

wires are g/w r/b and bk....its a big 3 clip....

I believe that is for the old coil module, that is about the right place for it and green was always coil negative from the ecu
and if not what is that for?


and on to next clips I couldn't match colors to...

this big clip has 6 wires and is a 7 slot clip.......
it looks like it should go to the injector valve series resistance by number of wires, but the colors in all the diagrams just don't' match up....
??
Those are the oil pressure and temp lines going to the sensor harness

and the next.
these 2 clips are a perfect fit for 2 sensors coming out of the tyranny right under the firewall(stock coupe tyranny 01e I think), but I couldn't link up the colors either....but couldn't find any other place for them to go, so I am assuming this,
(but I am really not trying to go by assumption, so I'm either looking for a confirmation or a smack in the face)

Those are the VSS sensor and the reverse back up light switch.
and the last :oops:
there are also no clips left to go to the 2 sensors on the water manifold......

are these part of the (I"m dreaming and hoping for) a sub harness that I'm missing?

its a relief to know that I am missing that subharness part...

in the diagram above I cannot see the clips that clip into the sensors on the watermanifold, (water temp?)
I'm back to the bently to scower once again for the clips that could be used, but I'm pretty sure I don't have those clips as I have most of the wiring accounted for....
is this part of another subharness that I might be missing?

they hooked me up with some stuff and I'm sure they got it.

ahh, so you probably have the pinout from the coupe maf and the aan maf....that'd be sweet...

i'm stoked...been waiting for a while for some wheels to come up that I liked....
after getting rid of the abt's I realized it would be tuff to replace em with something comparable, so i'm pretty content....

now I just gotta get em on the car.....

anyone got some 5x112 hubs they'd be willing to rid? :thumbsup:

when I got the car back from gmg motorsports (worst shop ever, or better put fabryce katuba is the worst guy to work on your car and'll screw you over very badly)---not to badmouth, but its true.....
the whole harness in the engine bay was ziptied in a clump....
I guess the sub part that hooks up to the oil pressure and temp stuff got lost with the aan harness and puter.....
but got that sorted out and is on the way.......

i'm still tryin to get the money or the ecu...
I just got the harness 2 days ago...not very much help as I have already purchased a custom built 034 one......
it'll go up for sale when and if I get the ecu.....
and he still has my seatbrackets....
such a shademeister...
not to mention, he has my ducati in the midst of our past dealings.....
and I ended up with a car 1/3 of the way built, a howling tranny that has to be rebuilt, and a lot of money lost out of my pocket..... :( wa wa.....oh well, small claims court isn't worth it....

tried,
after about a year into it and the work stopped on his end, I tried all I could to get my end of the deal back.........
problem is that he already put 3500 into rebuilding the motor, new paint, and suspension......

in the end I got screwed and there is nothing I can do about it.....
in an attempt to ratify the situation he got me a IIa (which he thought was a IIc), extra doner tranny to fix the howell in mine, 2 random intercoolers (gt2 and another???), muffler (which I think is the one that was on the car) 600.00 for the fender damage and thats about it...
i'm still trying to get my seat brackets, and ecu to sell....
and having a hard time at that....this is how f@#kin shady this guy is...

and the duck didn't even get me the motor.....I paid 6500 for motor and a howlin tranny.......I was young and dumb and got taken advantage of, and the situation got drawn out and escalated and my asshole got ripped open more and more.....its still mending.....

I could take him to court, but small claims is bs....if he really doesn't want to pay, then he really doesnt' have to as the court doesn't appoint any payment plan.....all court is for is a mediation between, a damn meeting place....

I know cuz I had problems with a body shop and went through the process, got awarded 5,000...he just continually says he has no money..
the shop went bankrupt and after a few years now I have nothing...tried an earnings withholding order but he gets all his goods under the table...
another shady individual who knows the stystem so I have given up on that one....

sorry for the sob stories, I tried to hold it back....
but all I can say is f$%kit and get on with the present......
where here I am trying to get this car going finally.............
 
wow! i almost sent fabryce a tranny as he said he was sending me a check but needed it asap.... i was putting off sending it until i got the check until the end of my week in CA and never saw it. he emailed me after the fact saying that he didn't need it anymore...

glad i didn't send it and get shiested. sorry to hear about your losses through him :(

you can always get a laywer once you have a judgement, then you can reposes anything in his name. Haul up with a tow truck and have then execute a writ to repsoses the bike for payment on the judgement. Happened to one of my buddies. They always can find the money when they need it, esp to get back their car or such...

now that the sob story is out, i'm back to business....
here are a couple more pics of random stuff....

I was planning to just plug the bottom opening on the radiator, but thought I would lose a good bit of cooling as the coolant would flow from the motor right through the endtank and out as it was a direct path, so I fed the hose with a brass fitting to duct to the bottom hole.....

and speaking of the IIc here is where the questions resume....
just wanna verify some things before splicing and also am curious where some things go, (to you nate probably since you made the harness)

1...the 3 wires coming out of the relay box (not sure what its called)

the black goes to the battery ground.....
the red goes to the positive 12v in the ignition,,,,
which red wire is that?

and then I have no idea what the yellow wire goes to???????

2.........the green and white wire goes to the tack output for rpm and the other one??????it says 8amp gen purpose driver,,,,(and my stupidity comes out, what does this mean?) is this my boost control?

looked through the bently and closest I could find is the tack imput signal #22 , is this the right one????

coming out of the grey side of the harness, not the ecu, are a black and red wire, which I think correspond with 2 loose red and black wires in the end of the harness......what are these for?????

is the orange/blue one is a dangler except when uploading new maps it becomes a ground????

there is another clump of wires loose out of the harness, what are these for???

how can I control boost electrically with the stock wastegate and turbo which has no electronic imputs? or is this impossible and I just have to get a different wastegate spring and such?
