Bumping this from the dead a few months back.

I must say great work on the research and getting this developed. I am looking at making this happen on an audi 40v 4.2. For whatever reason sites that list this bell housing don't show it working on the v8, but reading this thread I see it will. Was the crank sensor taken into account for these motors? Looking at the stock photos suchs as whats listed here:

It looks like there is an opening in the housing for this possibly. If thats the case, easy enough welding a bung here. In the initial research stages but am very intrigued by the possibilities.
 
Kicking this thread back up.... I called Quicktime earlier, and the "tech" guy had no idea of one of their bell housings that work with a VAG V8 and a T5. Am I missing something? I have scoured/lurked this thread for a bit, and reached the conclusion that it was successful. Can anyone help me out? This may be the missing bit to being able to make my VAG V8 rat rod a reality. Thanks!
