Looks like they have some pretty neat engine management systems.

That Schweet! I'd hit that!
Hell yeah, me too. In the dyno video with the V8, it sounds like a sequential transmission too.

I am pretty sure Mr. Swanson would "motorboat it too"

:)

hehe, true that. Shifts did go by pretty quick.

On the ceiling, don't do that, its slowing your progress :slap:

:stupid:

It's funny, but doesn't help make progress on the car. :p
Ill try and bear that advice in mind, thanks ;)

Thats nice that you are getting close to building on the project. I think that we all have been jonsing for progres. But that is ok it will come in do time.

Merry Christmass to all Geeker's

Dag. Sorry 'bout the ceiling. Better outcome than peeling pieces of your melon off the concrete below though.

If you put some pedals on that S6 steering column you could even ride it 'round after putting the tires on it!

Yeeehaaaw... I am assuming you made it then Rob? Go give George the finger for me.

Ceiling is no biggie, like you say, it could have been a lot worse.....

Are ya ready?

I made some progress on the V8 yesterday after 8+ months of distractions, she is now on all 4's for the first time in exactly 2 years!!!!!

It was not quite as simple an operation as I had hoped as I had forgotten that I think I loaned out my spare set of V8 / 200 struts (DOH) so I had to make a 2 piece B3 unit work, which entailed quite a bit of work swapping hubs, making mounts etc. She is ready to roll on the trailer now though :)

Over the coming week and long weekend for New Years I am hoping to complete my shop and put down the epoxy floor, it the needs to cure for 7-10 days before I move the heavy stuff in. That should mean that I move the car and lots of boxes on the weekend of the 9th, and weather permitting, I rent a truck with a lift gate to move all the really big and heavy stuff the following weekend.

Here are a few pics of the car on 4 very wide wheels, its very 4x4 sitting on teh stock struts so looks a bit odd.

The 11" slicks (295) look nice in there :), and more room to spare to squeeze the 325's in.

Just to prove it is really ready to roll.

Temp addition of the old V8 column so I can roll it about, I wont be using this in the end.

Just to show B3 2 part struts on a V8 will work (Hack and slash), I could only fit a 275 road tire in there though as the L-R swap of the strut housing means the steering arm gets in the way of anything bigger.

:) Merry Christmas Haydn

Wowyow! :eek:n Good to see you back in the saddle again!! Are you sticking with the B3 two pieces up front, or just to get it rolling?

Thanks Micah, It felt really good to work on the car again yesterday, despite the fact that it has been so long that I could not remember where things.

With regards to the 2 piece struts, I will be using the upright, but not the strut. I will be using a custom strut.

I just spent about 3 hours wiring in all the outlets now the walls are painted (there are a lot), so that is another job ticked off the list. Tomorrow I will paint the stairwell and storage room, fix the ceiling (DOH) and wall (DOH DOH). I then need to trim the opening to the attic so i can get the seals in there to stop heat loss. Once that is done I will empty the shop completely and start the prep work for epoxying the floor.

Look for updates to my epoxy floor thread for details on how that goes.

:woowoo: the project will be in there in no time buddy... good work!

nice to see this project ready to move!

I call shotgun :p
